I'm so excited that you are interested in choosing me to photograph your family! I believe in real moments and chasing sunsets. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together. I believe in images that are itching to be printed, placed in beautiful frames and hung on walls for years to come. Documenting these precious moments in a family's journey is truly an honor for me. There is so much love and excitement involved!
These sessions are meant to be a celebration of family unity, and a way for you to create beautiful memories together! Whenever I pick up my camera, I strive to create a meaningful experience for you, one that includes beautiful and emotional images that tell your story!

This process begins with a conversation. I want to hear everything— funny family stories, what are you celebrating...
We’ll get to know one another, talk about your vision for the session, answer any questions you might have about working with me and figure out if we’re the best fit for each other.
Throughout this process. it's important that you feel comfortable and at ease.
LET's CONNECT
Once your date is reserved, we'll connect to start chatting about possible locations for your session. I generally recommend choosing one location and if it's a place you haven't been before, it might be helpful to visit during the time our session will take place. That way you have an idea of the light, crowds, closing time, etc! If you're not sure about where you would like to take your photos but you have a general idea of the look you would like, just let me know because I would be happy to recommend a few locations based on your aesthetic!
LOCATION
If picking out outfits for photos takes you back to your high school days when you literally tried on everything in your closet and piled it on your bed but still felt like you had nothing to wear, you're in luck.
You'll receive an outfit suggestion guide with tips for every member of the family (even Fido!)
waRDROBE STYLING
On the day of your session, we'll connect to make sure the weather still looks like it's going to cooperate. We'll exchange numbers and finalize our meeting location.
Please plan for your session to take from one to two hours from start to finish.
The SEssion
All images from our sessions are typically delivered within four to six weeks of the shoot date via an online gallery. This gallery will allow you to share your favorites with family, order prints and even download images to share on social media.
Your gallery will remain active for six months.

The sooner the better! Weekends tend to fill up pretty quickly - especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to get your desired date!
To reserve your date, a contract as well as a deposit are needed. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let me know!
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?
Unless you've modeled professionally, you're probably going to feel awkward in front of the camera. Plus, you're not alone! I take photos for a living and still feel weird when in front of the camera.
At first, it will be awkward, but as the session goes on and I guide you through, I think you'll find that being photographed can actually be fun. And don't worry about your kids. I'm well versed in capturing even the busiest of little ones.
We're Awkward and my kids don't sit still.
No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Often, when we're scheduling our initial portrait session date, if it works for our calendars, we'll actually set up both a main date and a rain date just to make sure we don't have to postpone your session for very long if the weather is bad on the original date.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.
The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy as turning on a Roomba to clean your floors. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.
